About SignSorted

A small, focused tool site with one job: getting your signature onto a document without an account, a subscription or a watermark.

What this site is

SignSorted is a free, browser-based signature tool. It has two parts:

  • The Signature Generator — draw your signature by hand or type it in a script font, then download it as a transparent PNG.
  • The Email Signature Generator — build a complete email signature from a clean template and copy it into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail.

Alongside the tools we keep short, practical guides — for example how to add a signature in Gmail and how to sign a PDF — because "generate the image" is only half the job, and the other half is usually a settings page nobody can find.

Why it exists

Signing a digital document shouldn't require an account, a free trial that turns into a subscription, or a watermark on your own signature. Every tool here is free, works without signup, and puts nothing on your signature but your signature.

How it works (and why it's private)

Everything on SignSorted runs in your browser — the drawing pad, the fonts, the cropping, the PNG export. Nothing is uploaded to a server. We can't see your signature, and we couldn't store it even if we wanted to, because it never leaves your device. The same goes for the email signature generator: the HTML it builds stays in your browser until you paste it into your email client.

Who runs it

SignSorted is an independent project built and maintained by a small studio that makes focused, single-purpose web tools. If the site helped you, or if something is broken or missing, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.

One honest note about signatures

A signature image is how most everyday paperwork gets signed these days, and for forms, letters, invoices and school documents it's perfectly normal. But some documents specifically require a legally binding or certified electronic signature — those need a dedicated e-signature service that verifies who signed. A picture of a signature is not proof of identity, and we won't pretend otherwise. When a document asks for more, give it more.
